Development continues strong (September 2025)
First private test is behind and it went really well,
I'm really happy there were no major technical issues and multiplayer code seems to work as expected!
Currently my development focus is on bot AI and various gameplay tweaks.
Ok, but what is this game about?
Design your own spaceships and assemble a fleet to play in epic PvP battles.
Ships are fully destructible and manned by persistent crew members including yourself.
Ranked/casual matchmaking, PvE for practice.
Your avatar is commanding the flagship of your fleet, on top of that you have dozens of crew
members and multiple ships at your disposal.
How to win in CotV? Assemble a fleet of your best designs and kill the enemy commander!
Features already implemented
- Ship combat including boarding other ships
- Very simple Sign Up process in-game
- Matchmaking system
- Region support (at the moment US-East and Europe)
- Basic local practice against a dummy bot
- Ship designer to design your own ships with basic part selection
- Fleet manager to create fleets
- Crew management with the ability to change their name and gender and view their stats
- Global top players list, basic ELO and XP
- Global in-game chat
- Global in-game news
- User profiles, match histories and other things stored in a global database
Upcoming improvements
- Graphics by real artists, not me
- Large amount of different ship parts and modules
- Fully realized rank and ELO implementation
- Proper ship part unlocking via player XP
- More maps and map features
- Proper bots
- ... and many more improvements, most notably making the game as fun as possible by tweaking the
gameplay until it feels just right
